The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart -- these, O God, You will not despise. Psalm 51:17 God loves humble and contrite hearts.

God gives us the ability to rejoice in times of trouble. Don't let the fog of circumstances keep you from seeing Jesus and doing His will.

Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. John 14:12

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Ephesians 6:10-13

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. 2 Timothy 3:16-4:2 NKJV

Living a spirit-filled life is a steep learning curve. The move from good to best involves a willingness on our part to make decisions against immediate gratification. God can deliver you from anything in a single moment, but you've got to back it up with daily disciplines. The goal of confession isn't forgiveness, it's change. Mercy is not getting what you deserve. Grace is getting what you don't deserve. When we put our faith in Christ we receive a hard reset.
LIKE SNOWFLAKES, GOD'S GRACE NEVER CRYSTALIZES THE SAME WAY TWICE.

We often define ourselves by what we have done wrong, instead of by what Christ has done right. Christ gives us a new name, a new identity and a new destiny. True joy is knowing that we can stand before God totally forgiven and clothed with the righteousness of Jesus Christ!

The church will never be known for what we SAY we are. Our impact on culture will be determined by the message we are "speaking" through our actions and behaviors. A healthy church should inspire, encourage, and build up. If we really want to influence culture, it is time for us to practice what we preach!
